Oh Let me tell you!!!!
I am so proud of my girls Tori and Kadi. This week both of them were faced with challenges and I am proud to say they stepped up to the challenges with grace and maturity.
Tori, our Jr. at UNCP
Those that really know her, know she is a woman of few words and a go with the flow kinda chick. She doesn't really do opposition and is somewhat quiet. She is very goal minded and takes her college grades very seriously. okay so, one of her professors has missed a few classes, for reasons we arent really sure of. But Tori drives 45 minutes for this class and it upsets her when she drives all that way and the professor doesnt show. So Monday, she goes to class and her professor isnt there but there is another one that steps in for him. He makes a spectacle of himself, is rude, and very unprofessional....telling grown men to sit down and shut up when he presents them with a test he stated as their "midterm". Needless to say this didnt go well. Their professor hadnt been there to teach them anything how could this Man say its their midterm. As I said this didnt go well with the class, but our Tori after class, after cooling off from frustrations, Went to the DEAN. Yes you read that right, Our girl was pro active and went to the Dean and explained what happened, how she felt, and that its not fair to students they took that midterm, and also enlightened Her on a few other things the Dean didnt know. It obviously made a difference and we are waiting to see what will happen next.
I am so proud our girl took control of her situation and handled it in professional manner. That showed me then what kind of women she is becoming. I am so proud of you, Tori.
and Now Kadi..............
As many of you may know my living room furniture has been pushed to the walls, rugs rolled up, and my LV had become Dance STudio 101:) Kadi decided about a month ago to try out for Honeybear Officer. She has been on the squad for two years and last year serving as social officer. She had to dance a solo, two other dances and go thru an interview for this tryout..
She practiced, whined, practiced, whined........practiced, practiced, practiced.......Occasionally I would hear that I Can't, or Grrrrrrhh, even though I kept telling her when you are in the momment, and you have to do something, you will. I knew she would. She is a very talented young lady. So last night came, up late the night before. Out of school early yesterday.......lol practice, practice and more practice. She was locked in the high school at 4pm.
NO contact with anyone.....about 9pm we saw movement and the crowd began to gather......she had her envelope and opened it with screams of excitement...her hard work paid off and she made a spot as Officer!!!!! She is so happy! I am so proud of her. She had 3 dances and interview to go thru and she did it...she worked hard, did her best and got what she wanted!
I am so proud of my girls this week.....they both did something that took courage and it shows me they can handle alot . I just wanted to share my thoughts on them. I am a proud mom:)
please keep them in your prayers.
