Two week check In!

Well here I am, finally uploading the latest goings on around here. First a snapshot of the third "snow" we had here in Gladewater. This is a mild snow compared to the last one we had, the picture is of Poppys place....its where he is laid to rest on the hill he asked Nana to marry him on. Its a very beautiful place and the winter snow made it more beautiful.

Tori had the priviledge of going to a military formal with a young man she met at the church singles group. His name is Danny, and he is on his way to Westpoint. These group of single friends has been really good for Tori. After a longggggggg year at NC, Tori finally has a circle of friends who has been great to her. She is now in a social circle that is keeping her busy:)

Kadi got to perform her first Officer duty with assisting with tryouts tonight. The girls, Kadi, Lacey, Ashley, got out of school at 3:30...came over here and changed into outfits.....and was back at school to get locked in for Honeybear line tryouts by 3:52. They looked amazing!!!! They had a great time and it looks like we will have a great line for next year!

On Monday, we had the opportunity to do something Nick and Poppy had planned before we lost him, we planted a tree. Poppy and Nick had talked about planting a tree and placing his ashes with the tree roots. We planted a Pecan tree in front of the farm house and then a Apple Pear tree at the farm as well. Mom and Daddy Byrd brought fish to put in the hole as well for fertilizer. We are looking forward to Pecans and fruit within the next five years.

Matt is busy with the farm and rent houses.

Me, I am finally doing well without a daily nap. I am learning what to eat and what NOT to eat..lol and yes I laugh as I type that. I feel sooooooooooooooooooo much better. I cant believe I felt bad three months when I could of done this sooner and been better off. I am staying busy subteaching at the schools. I really enjoy hanging with the kids all day and feeling like I am needed and helping their teachers. I am doing better, and liking it:)
